We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our WPB Retail Banking & Strategy Technology team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.

Role Overview:

EMEA Retail Banking and Strategy Technical Product Manager role highly focusses on delivering distinctive value on strategic product iterative delivery within WPB Retail Banking and Strategy Technology EMEA region. Related skills for this role include but is not limited to strong knowledge around Cards and Loans Products, Vision Plus processing platform, Credit Control services including decision systems, Mobile and Internet Banking centric borrowing and servicing capabilities, Domestic and International Payments systems, Credit Bureau etc and conversant on various surround applications such as HUB, Staff Channels, Customer Channels, Data & Messaging, Utilities, Alerts, Operations, BI systems, external interfaces like Visa, MasterCard, Central Bank Schemes, ATM and Payment networks etc. along with knowledge on products, features and services offered. This position involves regular interaction with IT and non-IT senior stakeholders and therefore requires strong techno-functional skills, stakeholder management and subject matter expertise across Lending/Payment Technology. In addition to this, the scale of the RB&S portfolio across EMEA requires candidate with strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to empower and delegate as suitable. The role holder will play a pivotal role in supporting the function that has an overall, end-to-end responsibility for overseeing and providing leadership on all product capabilities and technical interdependencies as well as understanding and appreciating the Business needs and implications of lending products and systems. Overall knowledge about the features offered by the product suite, market dynamics and competitor products add value to the role to uplift the business capabilities in the geography.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•    Work as a technocrat in driving product planning, roadmap development, feature slicing, feasibility assessments, and high-level design of RB&S EMEA systems or subsystems. Lead, govern, manage and deliver technology capabilities for RB&S Tech EMEA as techno functional SVS Delivery manager.
•    Collaborate with business, technical architecture and other stakeholders to identify product / customer requirements, assess impacts to other data and systems, consider available technologies, perform cost-benefit study and recommend solutions, collaborating closely with the engineering team in building out new features.
•    Work with business entities, partners, and service providers in providing technical solutions best suited for business initiatives, and act as the key point of contact for the WPB RB&S Technology Business in EMEA region.
•    Assess solution viability and recommend strategies and tactics to satisfy customer needs, championing and articulating the merit of each, defending in funding and prioritization both to IT and the Business.
•    Work with Group IT Product work streams and Architecture to align and adopt strategic platforms and products for regional deployments while adhering to the Group’s enterprise architecture, FIM and regulatory requirements.
•    Oversee execution of project delivery with respect to the achievement of the defined product roadmap and approved investment commitments.
•    Understand the budget assigned and work with the programme to raise and control change as necessary, through strong Change Management adherence.
•    Work with project working group and Steerco stakeholders, collaborate and influence senior management and business partners for all key programme plans, commitments, and changes.
•    Manage activities focused on the deployment of projects from requirements gathering, system design, quality assurance, cost control and implementation planning activities as well as post implementation activities.
•    Reliable, dependable individual, able to monitor and report on the product roadmap and intervene when projects go off track and additionally will also continually re-assess the likelihood of operational risk occurring for project deliveries. Proactively managing risk and issues to increase delivery assurance of WPB Retail Banking and Strategy Technology projects.
•    Ensure consistent Software Engineering, Software Deployments and Architecture Compliance within the region for all WPB Retail Banking and Strategy Technology Systems, holding teams to the highest standards as per Region and Group requirements.
•    Act in accordance with Group standards for methodology, technical design, and security. Review and ensure compliance of the processes / activities managed under responsibility with compliance requirements.

Requirements

Experience & Qualifications:

•    Act as the regional WPB Technical Product Owner and subject matter expert, accountable for initiatives within Retail Banking and Strategy Technology organization across EMEA.
•    Representing MENA Retail Banking and Strategy Technology within the Global forum, providing content relevant to the EMEA region.
•    Own the WPB Retail Banking and Strategy Technology products within multi-disciplinary agile teams to deliver excellent new products and/or iterations to existing products to meet user needs. Working in collaboration with the regional and Global Product Owners to ensure the best outcomes.
•    Create, own, and maintain the product backlog. Ensure the wider Technology team and business stakeholders understand the backlog and the prioritization method being applied.
•    Manage development and elaboration of product roadmaps in support of the business appetite.
•    Build and maintain effective business relationships across the global businesses and regional teams, understand key drivers and metrics, and effectively prioritize competing demands from several lines of business.
•    Provide IT expertise and consultancy to regional and global business for the long-term benefit of the Group regarding WPB Retail Banking and Strategy Technology.
