An exciting opportunity for a candidate with a solid background in logistics to join our Solutions department in our Dubai branch.
The Team Lead, Logistics plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the warehouse by providing effective leadership and ensuring seamless coordination across teams. This position is responsible for overseeing the planning, receiving, and storage of inbound shipments, ensuring accurate and timely order picking, and managing delivery schedules to meet customer expectations. A primary focus is placed on order fulfillment, supply chain coordination, and personnel management, ensuring operational efficiency and team success.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and Oversees packing operations from end-end.
- Planning the loading operations per day of the week and ensuring that all cargo is loaded within the given time frames with all the required documentation.
- Manages stock counts and accurate reporting as and when required by client(s), but not limited to.
- Playing an active role in initiating, executing and follow up on projects initiated in the Logistics Strategy as and when needed.
- Ensures strict adherence to DSV Code of Conduct, DSV Quality Policies, Standards and Guidelines and ensures compliance to processes and procedures set in DSV IMS.
- Maintain correct and accurate records of inventory, location storage quantities, cost control to ensure alignment is maintained and kept consistent within the day-to-day warehouse and distribution activities.
- Co-ordinate daily with customer and the execution of the order(s) per daily planning schedule (pick/pack and production plan)
- Develop good relationship with customer to ensure high customer service level is always maintained and ensure that processes & procedures are followed and adhered to in that client’s expectations are met and exceeded, especially on the daily communication flows between all parties.
- Manage and maintain report accuracy of information as and when required and participate in MBRs – (Monthly Business reviews) with customers and provide valuable input for QBRs.
- Manage KPI performance analysis and accurate reporting over multiple key customer system models to identify exceptions and trend to improve overall supply chain.
- Ensure that QHSE policies and procedures are functional and any deviations to be actioned and reported immediately to ensure that quality standards & requirements in the distribution center remains of a high standard.
- Responsible of recording and maintaining billing raw billing data and preparing billing template for every monthly billing cycle
- Develop and maintain schedules, onboard new hires, and set department goals based on company expectations. They also evaluate employee performance to ensure that the entire team runs efficiently while providing guidance to make team members more effective.
- Manage, guide, and motor all delivery drivers with a sole objective of making sure that the trucks are fully optimized are in good condition and of high standard.
- Manage the day-to-day operations with staff and per job tasking.
- Plan resources as per workload and balance between different departments to meet KPIs

Internal – Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Assistants, Warehouse FKL Ops, CSR’s
External – Customers, Vendors, Suppliers
Qualifications & Characteristics:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. Diploma holders with relevant experience may be considered as well.
- 5 to 7 years’ experience in warehousing & distribution operations out of which 1 year in similar position.
- Prior experience in the GCC (UAE experience preferred) in the similar industry is an added advantage.
- Fluency in English is a must (Must be able to “Read”, “Write” and “Communicate”);
- Prior experience in managing a team of 5 staff or more is required
- Fluency in English is a must (Both Written and Spoken); Knowledge of Arabic is preferred
- Attention to details
- Ability to operate basic applications such as MS Office (PPT, Excel & Word) is a must
- Exposure to other logistics softwares is a plus (WMS CargoWise, CargoWrite, SAP)
