Job Description & Summary

At PwC, our people in legal services offer comprehensive legal solutions and advice to internal stakeholders and clients, maintaining compliance with regulations and minimising legal risks. These individuals provide strategic guidance and support across various industries.

In legal specialties at PwC, you will focus on legal support and advice across specific areas of law, confirming compliance and mitigating legal risks for the organisation. Your work will involve a wide range of specific legal matters and collaborate with different teams to drive business objectives.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled 2-5 PQE lawyer with expertise in energy and infrastructure projects, particularly in the Middle East region. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in development and project financing, and a deep understanding of the legal complexities involved in large-scale projects in the energy and infrastructure sectors. The role will be based in either Dubai or Riyadh, with frequent travel across the region as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice on complex energy and infrastructure projects, including power, oil & gas, renewable energy, carbon capture and storage, and large-scale infrastructure developments.
  • Advise on the full project lifecycle, including development, construction, financing, and operations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including project finance agreements, joint venture agreements, EPC contracts and O&M agreements, and related commercial agreements.
  • Support clients with structuring, financing, and risk management strategies for large-scale infrastructure and energy projects.
  • Assist clients in navigating the legal landscape in the Middle East, with a focus on the regulatory environment for energy and infrastructure developments.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide integrated legal advice and ensure compliance with local regulations, including those related to licensing, permitting, and environmental standards.
  • Collaborate with senior lawyers and partners in delivering innovative legal solutions for clients.

Experience and Skills:

  • 2-5 years of PQE in a reputable law firm or in-house legal department, with a focus on energy and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong experience in development and/or project financing, including familiarity with international financing structures and instruments.
  • Proven expertise in drafting, negotiating, and advising on complex energy, infrastructure, and project financing agreements.
  • In-depth understanding of the legal and regulatory framework for energy and infrastructure projects in the Middle East.
  • Fluency in English is required; Arabic speaking and drafting skills are a significant advantage.

Why Join Us?

  • Opportunity to work on high-profile energy and infrastructure projects across the Middle East as part of the wider PwC team.
  • Collaborative and dynamic work environment with a strong emphasis on career development.
  • Exposure to a diverse range of clients and projects in a rapidly growing and evolving sector.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
