SharePoint Administrator
Overview
Responsible for configuring the SharePoint platform, adding document libraries, and developing shared storage space and backup procedures. SharePoint administrator should demonstrate solid knowledge of Windows operating systems and the ability to create a positive experience for end-users. Also, ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of SharePoint environments, managing user access and permissions, and providing technical support to users. The role requires a high level of technical proficiency and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain SharePoint on-premises environments to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security
- Install, configure, and upgrade SharePoint software and related components
- Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans for SharePoint environments
- Design, develop, test, and implement custom SharePoint solutions on-premises based on business requirements
- Implement workflow driven document management systems with relevant security measures
- Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and end-users to gather and document requirements
- Develop custom SharePoint workflows, web parts, and forms
- Manage user access and permissions to SharePoint sites and content
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- MS certifications related to SP administration (e.g., MCSA: Windows Server, MCSE: SharePoint)
Minimum Experience:
- 3-6 years of experience in SharePoint on-premises administration & development
- Familiarity with ITIL and IT service management best practices
Job-Specific Skills:
- Strong experience with SharePoint installation, configuration, and maintenance
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
- Knowledge of SharePoint architecture and infrastructure
- Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, and other networking technologies
- The consultant should have experience in Sharepoint Development & DMS
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript, SQL server, Angular and jQuery
- The consultant must be proficient with Sharepoint 2016/2019 (on-prem), and must have done development using the Sharepoint 2016/2019 (on-prem) development model
