We are looking to recruit an experienced Project Controller to join our team based in Dubai, UAE. In this role, you be responsible for controlling the project costs and updating project cost forecasts including schedule impacts on costs for one or more projects at differing complexity levels by producing and maintaining monthly financial forecasts and work-in-progress reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pro-actively initiate preparation/maintenance of project budgets with Project Managers, challenge the assumptions made, and monitor actuals versus budget
- Control and monitor relevant project processes and documents (compliance, purchasing, subcontracts, audits, insurance, project risks, etc.)
- Timely delivery of project results for monthly and quarterly reports, including project forecasts for the financial reporting
- Collect, monitor, and analyze relevant financial and project data to identify improvements and trends
- Develop, implement, and enhance relevant procedures and processes in close cooperation with the relevant teams to increase efficiency
- Audit projects on a regular basis and communicate results and improvement suggestions (finance, tax, compliance, contracts, etc.)
- Report within our matrix organization to the Country Business Controller and the Department Head
What Skills and Experience Will You Have?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance with a focus on Controlling, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
- Professional experience in project controlling, ideally in an engineering company or a company in the construction industry
- Solid knowledge of basic legalities as well as claim management
- Experience in negotiating and contracting
- Hands-on mentality and analytical skills with affinity to financial topics and project risks
- Proactive, accurate, and well-developed communication skills
- Excellent English communication skills
