The primary focus of the role will be to support the Source to Contract and strategic sourcing processes through data analysis. The successful candidate will influence the businesses and drive the application of a variety of commercial models to drive the most appropriate business outcomes. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:
•    Monitoring supplier market and identify opportunities resulting from new product offerings and/or market shifts (e.g. entry or exit of suppliers, changes in pricing, risk on category)
•    Contributing to the achievement of the overall HSBC Procurement strategy by providing support to Global and Regional Category teams on all aspects of the Procurement Category and Commodity strategy which is linked to the types of goods and services that we purchase
•    Supporting the management of all aspects of the supplier lifecycle through strategy, business engagement, commercial analysis, tender, negotiation and contract management, ensuring the best interests of HSBC are served in managing the Group’s agreements
•    Ensuring the risks associated with the purchase of goods and services are mitigated commercially, contractually and operationally
•    Understanding the various systems and technology used within the Procurement process and how these systems contribute to data reporting, analysis and decision making
•    Execute projects to deliver defined country annual savings targets, and is responsible for the execution of eSourcing and for delivering incremental value to the business through eAuctions.

Duties & Responsibilities:
•    Develop overall knowledge of the HSBC organization, Business Lines and Functions, and the Procurement Function.
•    Help to drive the right business outcomes and subject matter expertise during the execution of sourcing projects, and support the UAE business in ensuring that the outputs of sourcing projects are aligned to HSBC business strategy.
•    Help to achieve maximum contractual protection and commercial position for the business, working in collaboration with the Business requester and HSBC Legal team.
•    Support the achievement of HSBC’s supplier spend and financial cost reduction savings targets. This involves contributing to the savings strategy, opportunity identification, and execution of savings projects.
•    Develop knowledge of HSBCs supplier risk management and risk mitigation approach, and assist in managing any risk exposure.
•    Support HSBC Business stakeholders with leadership and guidance on Procurement processes and supplier risk management. This can involve responding to stakeholder queries, designing and helping to deliver awareness raising sessions, and developing guidance materials to support our Business.
•    Support with analysis, data reporting, information and research that can aid Business and Procurement strategy and contribute to success.
•    Ensure adherence to HSBC internal policies and procedures.
•    Represent and preserve HSBC’s brand and reputation in interactions with external suppliers.
•    Contribute to Procurement process optimization, innovation, digitization, streamlining ideas and implementation of solutions.
•    Work proactively to ensure the objectives of your HSBC training plan are met, escalating and discussing any concerns with your line manager.
•    Drive the right business outcomes with advanced subject matter expertise during the execution of projects and will support the local business in ensuring that the outputs of sourcing projects are embedded in the business to drive value through the contract lifecycle.
•    Work with the global Category Managers in monitoring local market conditions, emerging opportunities or changes and implementing global strategies in country.
•    Ensure maximum contractual protection for the business, taking into account the Procurement Handbook requirements and local regulatory issues.
•    Oversee a portfolio of sourcing projects and business requests, working with offshore outsourced partners to ensure delivery.
•    Collaborate with Procurement Operations team to implement the appropriate buying channels and with Third Party Management (TPM) to ensure the appropriate supplier risk management approach for all projects assigned.
•    The role will ensure that businesses have operational accountability for contracts after signature and work with the TPM team to drive appropriate deployment of the supplier relationship management framework.
•    Provide robust reports on progress against targets, supplier spend and buying channel compliance.
•    Contribute to Global Procurement departmental transformation initiatives, innovation and continual improvements.

Requirements

 Experience & Qualifications:
•    Bachelors degree is a must
•    Previous Procurement experience desired
•    Strong data analysis experience and ability to present findings
•    Experience working with Microsoft Office including PowerPoint and Excel
•    Commercial and strategic mindset
•    Ability to navigate and nurture a complex stakeholder network internally and externally
•    Ability to lead, manage and implement department changes
