NOC Operator
Overview
Seeking a quick-thinking, qualified NOC Operator to take control of uptime and availability of Core42 services across all cloud solutions through 24/7 troubleshooting & monitoring, own Core42’s core datacenter network, and manage the standards, security, sustainability, deployment, and operations of its current and future networks.

Responsibilities
You will support the Network Operations Manager in monitoring Core42’s networks, systems, storage, and datacenters using a wide variety of tools within a consolidated 24×7 Network Operations Centre.
- Manage and maintain Data Centre network, servers, and systems across multiple vendors, such as Cisco and Palo Alto.
- Perform network monitoring via systems such as Zabbix, Grafana, and Graylog.
- Diagnose, document, and escalate issues, ensuring end-to-end service provisioning.
- Participate within a 24×7 rotating duty shift roster.
- Coordinate with internal teams, field technicians, third-party suppliers, and ISPs.
- Create, update, and route trouble tickets, adhering to established workflows, ITIL and ISMS best practices.
- Provide critical service outage notifications and escalate issues for timely resolution.
- Monitor network status, offer support for network-related and hardware issues, monitor system alerts, and maintain customer relationships.
- Adherence to compliance policies, procedures & quality standards. Optimize the number of existing processes and solutions, ensuring turnaround time in trouble shooting and customer NPS expectations are achieved.
Qualifications
- Experience as Network Engineer or Network Operations Centre Operator.
- Experience in assurance and/or fulfilment role within NOC.
- Capability to operate in a 24/7 shift allocation roster.
- Solid understanding of OSPF, ISIS, BGP, L2VPN, and L3VPN.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, along with proficient computer literacy.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Previous experience in NOC for Data Centre or IP/MPLS.
- Hands on experience with Cisco IOS-XE and Palo Alto equipment.
- Hands on experience with Zabbix and Graylog.
- Hands on experience with other network vendors.
