HR Head Gulf & Saudi Arabia
Job purpose:
The purpose of this role is to drive business growth and performance focused on Talent, Leadership, Capability and Culture agenda and partner with General Manager and Leadership Team to deploy the business & talent strategy in one of the most excited and transformative markets across Emerging Markets to drive innovation with growth. In achieving these objectives, you will also partner with the regional business heads and local business stakeholders (the GMs/Supply Chain heads of the business units in the cluster), Regional HR LT, Embedded HR Business Leaders (HRBLs), People Services Team and the Centres of Excellence.
Location: based in Jeddah (Saudi) or Dubai (UAE)
Responsibilities
- Provide HR Business Partnership with General Manager (GM) and Leadership Team, and juggle strategy & operations to drive business growth and performance, focused on Talent, Leadership, Capability and Culture.
- Drive change initiatives and transformation to drive innovation with growth with engaging broader team members into future direction.
- Enable the organization to have the best leaders at all levels, with the right capabilities.
- Build a high performing and inclusive culture, and role model and amplify it together with GM.
- Plan, implement and promote business-based DE&I initiatives.
- Ensure the right oversight as Head of HR for the local HR operations (licence-to-operate), HR & labour regulations, and risk/crisis management.
- Where applicable, represent HR on the Country Executive Board for any country specific HR agenda.
- Be responsible for One GSK/One HR topics to ensure consistency as the enterprise.
- Be point of the contact as one of the most senior HR leader on the market to provide HRBP support for cross-functional people agenda i.e., major/multiple business changes, M&A etc.
- Orchestrate HR teams and play critical and influential role within HR community, together with Talent, Rewards, Recruiting CoEs, People Service team, Employee Relations, Industrial Relations etc.
- Advocate global/regional HR priorities with enterprise mindset that maximizes business impact.
- Closely collaborate with entire Emerging Markets HR team as well as global Talent CoE to promote regional talent development agenda in entire MENA beyond Saudi/Gulf.
Requirements
- Business acumen and consultation skill.

- Authentic leadership while flexibly adjusting own leadership style.
- Exposure and experience to work within multi-cultural team in the matrixed organization.
- Strong communication skill.
- Juggle priorities and stakeholders to always stay focused on business impact.
- HR functional fundamentals as HR leadership role.
- Integrity to do the right thing and gain trust.
- Experience as country HR leadership role or equivalent business partnership roles.
- Experience to lead large-scale change program and transformation is strongly preferred.
- International/global/regional business experiences out of home country is preferred.
