Role Overview
As a governance advisor, you will ensure that the business is complying with regional regulations by consistently monitoring processes, suggesting for improvements, track, recommend optimizations, and coach stakeholders on processes in conjunction with any regulatory or improvements as identified.
What you will do
  • Maintain governance and control requirements, ensuring all internal governance requirements are met, including full compliance with all policies, audit actions, monitoring actions and risk appetite.
  • Perform risk assessments to identify gaps, come up with recommendations, and drive the gaps to remediation.
  • Conducting ongoing analysis of processes in line with healthcare industry regulations (UAE regulations (DHA, DOH, IA), identify improvements and optimizations to as is processes, documenting to be processes and drive changes with all relevant stakeholders globally.
  • Perform audits and ensure necessary documentation are updated and tracked, signed off with relevant stakeholders and evaluate the process implemented for further optimization and recommend solutions.
  • Act as an advocate for the governance function with key internal and external stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Represent the team on projects as assigned by line manager.
  • Lead a programme of continuous improvement across our delivery governance & methodology, proactively identify re-occurring issues and defining action plans for resolution, working in collaboration with Governance manager and team members as well.
  • Create and present process improvement reports, monitor and identify SLA gaps, report on agreed frequencies with line manager for further actions.
  • Align, advocate for and influence organization to efficiently implement standards for processes and policies.
  • Auditing will be conducted on a frequently basis (sometimes at a low level/high detail) as we aim to have 100% compliance across all of our memberships.
  • Keep up to date reporting on the ‘health of the insurance book’ for all policies that are required to comply with the regulations and provide regular updates to key stakeholders.
  • Ensure that current training and process information is shared with all teams across BGME, providing updates as and when required should there be any changes to new or existing circulars.
What you will bring
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in managing health insurance regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to coordinate projects and lead multiple teams.
  • Experience in healthcare industry governing processes
  • Excellent documentation, advanced word processing skills, Advanced Excel skills (VBA and Macros) and Presentations skills preferred.
  • Excellent assertive communication skills
  • Experience in managing Audits (internal and external),
  • Certifications in BPM, CAMS, CGEIT desirable
