Field Service Generator Team Lead

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Active recruitment of young / experienced Engineers regionally with the foundation to be able to perform job with the required training and mentorship to the established siemens Energy standard.
  • Planning and monitoring the development and personal growth of the individual Generator team members in the region.
  • Maintain the appropriate certification to perform to role and constantly upscaling the skills of Generator personals.
  • Planning and allocation of Generator team in the RME region for the service outages and new installation sites globally. Nominations are based on their skills and experience within the project budget.
  • Maintaining collaboration in region as well as globally within Generator team, to enhance the training opportunities and utilization of regional Generator team.
  • Facilitate and drive digitization efforts within the region to sustainable service business.
  • Timely Forecasting the regional Generator workload and communicating the Global peak loads & availabilities with respective project to achieve profitable service business.
  • Actively engaged with regional Generator team to create an inspiring team environment.
  • Oversee Daily Generator service operations and managing the compliant administration of team member in terms of Time sheets, Expense claim and delegations.
  • Monitor Regional Team performance.
  • Periodically visits field projects to review onsite progress and operations, observe first-time evolutions with new tooling or processes, and to meet with internal and external customers.
  • Supports technical sales on customer meetings and review of cost estimates as required.
  • Review and publish the specific technical procedures and learning grams.
  • Work closely with other Fs manager / Team lead to develop and implement training programs for Field Service Engineers and specialist.
  • Support QIS program as required. Develop and guide corrective actions for Quality topics.
  • This is highly challenging role which has the responsibility of overseeing several different and diverse Generator projects simultaneously.
  • It requires the ability to build internal networks with FS & project planners, Service Engineering, project management and supply chain management.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor/ Master of Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical and Process), 5 – 10 years’ on-site experience in the relevant field of work.
  • Knowledge on understanding of technical equipment, wear, tear, and fatigue mechanisms of power generation equipment or in the Oil & Gas Industry and ability to work with/based on technical documentation.
  • Deep knowledge in mechanical maintenance activities of power generation equipment or in the Oil & Gas industry and willingness to continuously work hands-on under time pressure and in difficult conditions.
  • Digital literacy, confident user of relevant IT-applications (Microsoft Office), additional IT-competence.
  • Understanding of relevant industry standards for Quality and Health, Safety & Environmental protection
  • Fluent in English Language (Written & Oral) and other languages are effective.
  • Strong analytical skills with an affinity to technology and innovation in the service industry combined with a proactive and convincing demeanour.
  • Great teammate with high level of resilience, the ability to work independently under pressure, multitask and focus on problem solving in a sophisticated environment collaborating with international teams.
  • Willing and legally able to work and travel independently and extensively to all Siemens Energy work locations and countries in Region Middle East
