Your responsibilities

  • Ensure 3rd parties’ activities are fully compliant with regulatory and Reckitt guidelines to minimize risk to consumers, company and brand name.
  • The approval (or rejection) and development of new 3rd parties.
  • For any NPD/ EPD issue GFS in line with Reckitt QMS.
  • Work closely with Procurement and EMO Operations to resolve quality related issues with 3rd parties.
  • Propose quality improvements to suppliers or contractors and monitor implementation.
  • Manage 3rd parties in all quality related tasks and build up and maintain close relationship with 3rd parties.
  • The 3rd parties will primarily be External Manufacturing Operations (EMO) manufacturing finished products, but the role holder will be able to contribute to Reckitt and broaden their own experience by conducting assessments and audits of RM and PM suppliers.

The experience we’re looking for

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop strategies, tactics and improvement plans Results-oriented and self-motivating with a bias for action and the capability to define, evaluate and manage risks to product quality
  • Ability to apply pragmatism, where this remains within quality and regulatory requirements, to support company bottom line results
  • Ability to develop close partnerships with R&D, Procurement and Supply while maintaining strong sense of independence and confidence to always express own opinion
  • Experienced in risk management and process improvement techniques including FMEA, root cause analysis, process mapping etc
  • Strong auditing skills with extensive experience in conducting site audits and systems audits
  • Ability to command respect across the organization. High level of confidence, action-oriented technical skills to understand typical quality issues of household products and be able to lead a group to a solution
  • Good communication skills and able to debate and negotiate with external supplier personnel.
  • The influencing skills.  Diplomatic and tactful in difficult supplier situations.
  • Highly motivated and confident in external environments. Organised and able to deliver concise written or oral summaries to senior management
  • Able to lead on improvement plans with key suppliers, requires a good manufacturing knowledge and an understanding of business processes.
  • Good understanding of QMS and quality improvement tools
  • Broad understanding of manufacturing operations and business organization.
