Business Development Manager – Artificial Lift

Job Summary.
Reporting to the Artificial Sales & Business development manager EHO –the candidate will be responsible for the Development of business through the Artificial lift portfolio verticals – Progressive Cavity Pumps (PCP), Rod Lift Accessories (RLA), Automation (AUTO) and Hydraulic pumping units (HPU).
Candidate is expected to travel up to 50% of the time primarily around and near gulf region, establishing relationships and generating new business primarily within the Gulf (GCC) region. Additional areas for travel may be provided as required within MENA and Asia as directed by management.
Candidate must have an existing technical and commercial understanding of PCP systems, additional knowledge with RLA and HPUs is an advantage.
Candidate success will be monitored by the writing of detailed Customer Visit Reports (CVRs), maintaining an updated opportunity register on the company Customer relationship manager (CRM) portal and through the growth of revenue and qualification of products with end users where appropriate.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote NOV ALS verticals (PCP, RLA, AUTO, HPU) within the defined sales territory.
- Report on sales activities though the company CRM platform.
- Coordinate sales process utilizing the larger organisation for inside sales support
- Coordinate the product qualification process where required with support of the wider organisation.
- Complete financial revenue forecasting reports on a monthly basis.
- Engage with the legal team for creation of specific agreements / sales contracts
- Achieve product qualification and revenue targets as determined from the ALS BD EH.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILL-SET REQUIRED:

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILL-SET REQUIRED:
- 1-3+ Years’ experience with the sales and operation of Artificial Lift systems in an oilfield environment is mandatory.
- 1-3+ Years experience in a Business Development role, ideally within the oil and gas industry.
- Experience with and knowledge of preparation and testing of artificial lift equipment in a workshop environment and familiarity with the API / ISO standards attached to the relevant products.
- Experience with financial forecasting
- Experience with strategy formulation and strategy execution.
- Ability to understand the strategic direction of the business
- Ability to work largely independently in a compliant fashion, reporting as scheduled to provide the organisation updates and current strategy execution of products.
- Ability to work with legal, technical, commercial and credit contacts to achieve compliant growth through all ALS verticals.
- Ideally has no restriction travelling within the GCC and abroad at short notice.
Essential for this role:
- Technical understanding of the design, manufacture installation and installation support for Artificial Lift.
- 3+ Experience in a business development role ideally within the oil and gas industry.
- Technical understanding of the design, manufacture installation and installation support for PCPs.
- Degree in Engineering
- Experience with CRM platforms
- Proven track record in sales with a successful implementation of an account sales strategy.
- Understanding of incoterms, experience with contract formulation, experience with working with legal teams.
- Understanding with commercial terms and conditions, sales practices and working capital implications.
- Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
- Fluency in English, written and spoken demonstrable with a certificate of competency.
Desirable for this role:
- Additional working technical knowledge of AUTO, RLA and HPU
- Experience with CFER design Software
- Experience with S-ROD design Software
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM
