WSP Middle East are currently looking for an experienced BIM Modeller – Building Services (Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health, Civil background) to join our team in Sharjah, UAE. The ideal candidates will be responsible for developing and managing Building Information Models (BIM) for diverse building services projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects within a leading global engineering firm.

Your new role, what’s involved?

• Develop and manage detailed 3D BIM models for building services projects, including mechanical, electrical, public health, and civil systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate BIM models and ensure model consistency and accuracy.
• Prepare detailed drawings and specifications using BIM software, adhering to project requirements and deadlines.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve design and construction issues.
• Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts within the BIM models to ensure seamless project execution.
• Maintain and update BIM models throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring they reflect the latest design and construction information.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and best practices in BIM modelling.
• Provide technical support and training to team members and stakeholders on BIM-related processes and software.
• Participate in project meetings, offering insights and solutions related to BIM and building services design.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in BIM modeling within the building services or construction industry.
• Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other relevant tools.
• Strong understanding of BIM standards, protocols, and workflows specific to building services.
• Experience with multidisciplinary coordination and clash detection in complex building projects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations in the Middle East is a plus.
• Professional certifications in BIM (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) are desirable.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in large-scale building services projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial developments.
• Knowledge of sustainable design and construction practices within building services.
• Familiarity with advanced BIM technologies and methodologies.
• Understanding of project management principles related to building services.
