Reporting to the Senior Audit Manager, the Audit Manager will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of audit engagements across Zurich Global Ventures. With the support of the Head of Internal Audit ZILL , you will be responsible for performing the risk assessment and annual audit planning, providing insights to stakeholders, and delivering audit outcomes of excellent quality.

Job Accountabilities

In this role, you will be:

  • Audit Delivery: Keeping the business safe by leading the end-to-end execution of a portfolio of diverse audit engagements (e.g. finance, governance, operations, etc.), including global audits across different regions with the support of the Senior Managers.
  • Audit Plan & Coverage: Support the implementation of leading audit practices to define and evolve the risk-based, dynamic audit plan for some of the entities part of ZGV.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders. Influence the business by agreeing actions and delivering the final audit report, with support from the Senior Manager, when needed.
  • People Management: Guide, coach, and work with the team throughout the audit engagement to ensure the audits are completed with quality, on time and within budget. Support building the IA team in ME.
  • Professional Judgement: Apply professional judgement in planning and risk assessment activities, determining the right audit scope, key risks to be addressed and most suitable audit techniques and approaches alongside the Head of Internal Audit ZILL and ZGV Audit Lead.
  • Reporting: Prepare and deliver detailed audit reports to senior management, sharing key insights, themes, trends, findings and risk mitigating actions.
  • Learning Culture: Foster a positive culture and drive an environment of continuous growth, learning and upskilling across the team. This includes upskilling yourself (and encouraging others to do so as well) in new world skills, such as Data Analytics, IT and AI, and adopting of agile practices. Contributing to the Group Audit team by sharing own technical knowledge.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance of audit and non-audit activities with relevant standards, regulations, and internal policies.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field or professional qualification (chartered accountant, CPA, CIA, CISA or equivalent, MBA or equivalent an asset).
  • +7 years of proven experience in Audit / Risk Management / Compliance within the Insurance industry or +8 years of experience in Insurance business positions.
  • Strong knowledge of Life and Pension insurance business.
  • Strong understanding of the audit methodology required to deliver excellent audit outcomes and the skills and competencies needed to provide quality, impactful and insightful audit reports. This includes a good understanding of the power of data analytics.
  • Extensive experience within complex, fast moving and international organizations.
  • Expertise in one of the following areas: IFRS 17, internal controls frameworks (SOX / ICIF), Middle East Regulatory requirements, Actuarial modeling and controls, IT General Controls.
  • Excellent project management skills, ability to organize teams, prioritize tasks, guide, and coach team members to deliver on time to high quality standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent relationship management and influencing skills with proven ability to interact with stakeholders from all seniority levels and build business relationships.
  • Collaborative, flexible, determined, and results-oriented mindset.
  • Passion and enthusiasm to continue to grow yourself and others around you.
  • Fluent written and spoken English skills. Another European language is a plus.
