Regional Account Manager, Commodities & Energy

What will you be doing?
Due to the continued growth of the business, we are looking for a pro-active and commercial minded Regional Account Manager to join our highly successful Middle East and Africa sales team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to utilize their sales skills to the full. We are looking for a pro-active self-starter who is keen to work in an environment where there is a strong work/life balance and no micromanagement. The key to success in this role will be developing an understanding of the client’s business to tailor a package to support their commercial decisions and investment strategies.
As a Regional Account Manager, you will be responsible for selling Argus market data, price assessments, reports, analytics, and consulting capabilities to strategic accounts in the Middle East and African region. You will be responsible for applying a consultative and methodical approach to sales and account management of the accounts allocated to you – managing the renewals process for these as well as developing a growth strategy for the vertical white space allocated to you.
- Build and identify growth opportunities within your territory – both from existing customer accounts and new prospects in a defined white space vertical.
- Work with the Business Development team to identify new customers and accounts and longer-term opportunities.
- Build out account opportunity maps to increase visibility within our client base of value delivered and product and service opportunities to sell in to, to drive your quarterly goal achievement.
- Coordinate and manage resources internally to maximize value for your clients and ensure a clear, communicated path to renewal and increased relationship.
- Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing customers to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Become the trusted advisor to your clients ensuring they maximise their relationship with Argus, and are open to communications about new products, promotions, upcoming events and engaging in our customer feedback mechanisms.
- Manage all aspects of the administration of your accounts through excellent understanding and use of Argus’ CRM system and related technology.
- Feed future buying trends to Management.
What we’re looking for in you:
- Successful track record of at least 4+ years in B2B sales, including generating new business, preferably with international experience.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills and ability to network to get results for your clients.
- International – experience of the challenges of working in various cultures across Asia, experience of working within a dispersed global organization away from Head Office would also be useful.
- Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and commercial benefits.
- Knowledge of Arabic would be desirable.
- Educated to University degree level or above.
- Able to work independently, whilst also engaging and collaborating in line with the Argus values: Passion, Integrity, Excellence and Results.

Travel
- Client meetings, conferences, and events (at least 25% of travel is expected across the Middle East and Africa)
Hours
- Monday through Friday, 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
- Earlier or later hours, or weekend hours, may be expected on occasion.
