Assistant Manager – Learning & Development
Job Description
The job holder will be responsible for training needs assessment, design, delivery and effectiveness evaluation of the training calendar plan within the Territory
Responsibilities
Business Context
- Participate in business and management discussion to understand business priorities and goals
- Partner with the business to drive important Training initiatives
- Provide performance consulting to business on ways to improve existing processes and introduce new processes
- Improve business performance and productivity through training exercises
Training Budget & Calendar
- Plan along with the Manager – L&D and GM, annual training budget for the territory
- Track learning and development budgets and present reports on a regular basis to the management
- Ensure identification and analysis of training needs in coordination with other functional and category managers and provide inputs to the corporate learning & development team
- Measure the ROI of training in the territory to show tangible benefi
Training Delivery & Administration
- Design training content (internally administered) in line with territory/ functional requirements to ensure effective and high quality delivery of training to employees
- Formulate the annual and monthly training calendars for the territory in consultation with the Head – HR and circulate the calendar in the territory in a timely manner
- Coordinate with preselected vendors/ service providers to ensure timely provision of training infrastructure, development of content and training delivery
- Select appropriate internal and external trainers for delivering the training modules effectively
- Monitor provision of high quality training to all employees on the basis of identified training needs
- Collect employee feedback at the end of every training session, and provide the collated report to corporate learning & development team
People Management
- Manage and support recruitment
- Monitor team development and facilitate complaint resolution
- Set KRA’s for direct reports and conduct performance appraisal
- Oversee staff deployment and drive motivation levels of the direct reportees
Qualifications
- Advance knowledge of Retail Industry
- Advance knowledge of Training processes and accredation processes
- Advance knowledge of various Taining tools
- Presentation skills
- Communication & Influence skills
- Planning & Organizing skills
- Candidates with Min 5 years of training experience and overall 8 years of experience are preferred.
