About the job:

Kent is looking for a Group Security Manager, responsible for developing, implementing and assuring the company security management system and the continual improvement strategies across our global operations. You will maintain an effective intelligence network to provide comprehensive threat assessment and risk control advice for all Kent work locations. You will approve travel to high and extreme risk locations. You will assess the competence of security providers and deliver continued professional development for company security staff. You will contribute to work winning through the development of comprehensive security management questionnaires and client engagement as part of the bidding process. Support the investigation of security incidents and leading the investigation of high potential events.

Your responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Develop an effective network of security intelligence with external stakeholders to guide business leadership.

• Maintain Develop and maintain threat assessments for all operational locations.

• Implement a process for identifying emerging security threats, vulnerabilities and critical points of failure.

• Establish a process for travel risk approval and approve travel to high and extreme risk countries.

• Draft the global security policy.

• Develop and maintain best practice security standards to meet international standards.

• Communicate the Kent security procedures to personnel at all levels of the organization.

• Assure the effectiveness of access control and protection of assets at all locations.

• Implement a schedule of audits to assure compliance of all work locations with security standards.

• Conduct ongoing analysis of security threats and vulnerabilities to driver continual improvement.

• Develop and implement security improvement strategies for all work locations.

• Collaborate with operations to determine security needs of each location.

• Monitor the effectiveness of the security operations and sufficiency of resources at Kent work locations.

• Oversee the deployment of security resources and equipment across our operations.

• Advise on the competence of security personnel and support continued professional development.

• Assess the readiness of all projects to respond to emergency.

• Support the development of business continuity plans for all work locations.

• Develop and implement a crisis management process, to deal effectively with escalation of emergencies.

• Provide training and conduct drills to enhance readiness for crisis management.

• Support with the investigation of security incidents and lead high potential investigations.

• Evaluate the competence of security providers and provide guidance on competence requirements.

• Maintain knowledge of changes in security legislation, standards and requirements.

• Ensure security requirements are captured in compliance obligations logs.

• Develop and deliver strategic security objectives, regularly communicating progress.

• Identify security key performance indicators and facilitate capturing of security performance data.

• Develop monthly, quarterly and annual security performance reporting to business leadership.

• Foster a culture of security awareness and co-operation throughout the organization.

• Develop and deliver security training programs to communicate risks, protocols and best practices.

• Deliver regular security awareness campaigns to reinforce vigilance.

• Complete security questionnaires in support of winning work.

• Keeping abreast of new technologies and advancements in security services.

• Foster a culture of innovation and adaptability to address evolving security challenges

• Serve as the primary point of contact for security-related enquiries.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Qualification/ Certification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, International Relations, Criminal Justice, or related field.

• 10+ years of experience in security management, with 5+ years in a leadership role within oil & gas sector.

• Relevant experience as a member of military, law enforcement or government agencies.

• Proven track record of developing and implementing security strategies in high and extreme risk countries.

• Strong understanding of the security challenges in international oil & gas construction operations.

Skills Requirement:

• Extensive knowledge of high & extreme risk security environments and completion of threat assessments.

• Excellent problem-solving and crisis management skills.

• Advanced Investigation and analytical skills including causal analysis and excellent report writing skills.

• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Fluent written and spoken English, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• An assertive proactive self-starter with a record of accomplishment as a successful leader.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Communication:

External – Government bodies, security providers, client security representatives, etc.

Internal – SVP HSSE, HSSE Assurance Director, Executive Vice Presidents, Project Directors, Human Resources & Business Development.

Core Competencies:

• Extensive knowledge of high & extreme risk security environments and completion of threat assessments.

• Experience of developing security management systems to meet international standards.

• Experience of developing and implementing effective crisis management and business continuity plans.

• Advanced Investigation and analytical skills including causal analysis and excellent report writing skills.
