Civil Inspector (Roads & Utlities)
Dubai, UAE
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Civil Inspector to join our team! In this role you will get to performs continuous surveillance of assigned inspection activities to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Construction Supervision of roads, utilities and other associated improvements
- Verification of the material and quality control of all activities carried out on the Project.
- Daily, weekly and monthly progress reporting to the office.
- monitoring the sampling and testing procedure, ensure the tests are conducted as per the specification.
- Ensure all works are carried out as per the approved drawings, specification and other contract documents.
- identify non-conformance if any and issuing NCRs.
- verification of quantities claimed by the Contractor and approve
- Implement standard ITPs
In addition:
- Maintains office files related to the project, quantity calculations and writes daily diaries.
- Prepares daily reports and other documentation, as required by the contract
- Verifies that only approved materials are incorporated in the work.
- Performs labor compliance interviews and maintains as-built plans.
- Recognizes potential conflicts, issues and problems, and reports to supervisor with proposed solution.
- May provide technical guidance to lower-level inspectors.
- Coordinates work of subconsultants for surveying and material testing.
- Participates in the development of job safety practices and in the preparation of safety reports.
- Participates in the development of quality control reports and procedures.
- Reports on installed quantities to verify applications for payment and change order work.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
- 3- Years Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in construction supervision of infrastructure projects including road works, utilities within UAE.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, construction specifications and processes related to civil inspection.
- Strong analytic capabilities and the ability to work independently.
