Job Description
Aldar Education is currently seeking a Public Relations Officer (Arabic Speaking) to support our growing family of owned, operated and managed schools in the UAE. The role is responsible for coordinating and liaising between the company and Government organizations and/or authorities and provide a key inter-face between the two. Provide quick, efficient and reliable services for all Government related jobs such as Employment Permits, Entry Visas, Medical Examinations, miscellaneous jobs related to Immigration, Ministry of Labor, and Business Licenses to the company and its group, adhering to the regular amendments in rules and regulations within very short notices. Respond effectively to the demands of the Businesses, employees and their families to assist them on government related services..
Responsibilities
Main Duties:
- Supports Operations team in applying new and renewal of Civil Defense license and arranging the inspection appointment date.
- Coordinates and obtain the approvals for new schools from all the governmental bodies such trade license, lease contract, ADEK set-up, MOHRE inspection, ADEK etc.
- Processes and renews permits and licenses including ADEK license, trade license, chamber of commerce, certificates of registration for the company.
- Obtains ADDC requirements to register new accounts in direct debit arrangement to pay the schools’ bills.
- Police station & Abu Dhabi court – any staff police case is followed up attentively and dealt within a confidential manner. Reaching conflict resolution in a way that is suitable for both parties.
- Ensures and tracks all the trade licenses. Ensures documents are active and valid (ADEK License, trade license, immigration card).
- Visits Tasheel, Tawjeeh, Immigration and MOHRE offices as required.
- Supports staff in getting driving license and anything related to traffic department.
- Supports staff on the process in obtaining Golden Visa.
- Participates in training and other learning activities and performance development as required.
- Always ensures the highest levels of integrity and confidentiality.
- Performs other duties as required.
Specific Duties:
- Coordinates with AD Municipality regarding Musataha payment on quarterly basis and coordinate with Finance to arrange the payment.
- Coordinates with ADEK to obtain the Tawtheeq contract.
- Visits the post office to collect Emirates ID and couriered documents (university degrees, post letter, etc.).
- Visits schools to deliver and collect the documents and follow up regarding visa processing requirements. Etc.
- Obtains ADDC requirements to register new accounts in direct debit arrangement to pay the schools’ bills and request the ADDC bill for the payment to be submitted to Finance to pay the outstanding bill.
- Coordinates with Police station & Abu Dhabi court regarding staff police case, followed up attentively and dealt with in a confidential manner. Reaching conflict resolution in a way that is suitable for both parties.
- Contact person by Capital Health Screening Center regarding payment, collecting result, and other concerns.
- Coordinates with AP and building management to obtain the building Tawteeq.
- Supports the Management and staff in processing their dependents visa (Nanny, Helper, Driver, etc.) as approved by GR Department.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors (BSc) in business related subject; or
- Related industry qualification or certificate, for the assigned functional area(s).
Minimum Experience:
- At least 5 years’ experience within a government or public relations function, within the UAE
- Government relations experience within the education sector
Job Specific Knowledge & Skills:
- Fluent Arabic communication skills, written and oral
- A good understanding of English language, written and oral
- Multitasking
- Strong knowledge of visa / labour process
- Excellent knowledge of labor law
- Hands-on experience with MS Office and MS Excel
- Knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS)
- Proficient typing and editing skills.
- Data organization skills
- Great Attention to detail
- Organizational ability, of self and others.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Sense of urgency/confidentiality and customer centric communication
- Familiarity with all laws related to the establishment and dissolution of companies
- Knowledge of the laws and regulations regarding school licensing as per ADEK guidelines
