Manager – Solution Design – Charging & Rating
JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop end-to-end architectural designs and solutions for telco systems, focusing on real-time rating and charging with strong knowledge of prepaid portfolio.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, product managers, developers, and operations teams, to gather requirements and translate them into architectural designs.
- Design end to end prepaid products/flows as per the business requirements and collaborate with developers for delivery.
- Define system integration patterns and interfaces between various telecom systems, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability, including integration with BSS systems.
- Drive the adoption of telecom standards such as TM Forum, SID, and eTOM in the architectural design and implementation, considering BSS as a part of the overall architecture.
- Conduct feasibility studies and proof-of-concept initiatives to evaluate emerging technologies and their potential impact on telco systems.
- Conduct regular architectural reviews and provide recommendations for system optimization, scalability, and performance improvements for existing production Ericsson nodes SDP/CIS/OCC/CCN etc including channels like USSD, IVR and MPOS.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and telecom standards to continuously enhance the telco IT architecture, including the integration of BSS systems.
Qualifications, experience and skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
Experience:
- Extensive experience on prepaid portfolio covering Prepaid Charging system
- Proven experience as a Telco IT E2E Architect, with a focus on Ericsson Charging system, AI integration, BSS functionalities, and OSS system integration.
- Expertise Agile methodologies .
Skills
- Strong knowledge of telecom standards, including TM Forum, SID, and eTOM.
- Hands-on experience with Ericsson Charging systems, AI technologies and BSS systems in a telecommunications environment.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing complex telco systems, including data modeling, system integration, API design, and Ericsson Charging system configuration.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in the telecom industry, such as cloud computing, and big data analytics, and their integration with Ericsson Charging systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical designs and Ericsson Charging system configurations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and Ericsson Charging development teams.
