It’s an area of the world that up until now, has largely missed out on the transformational power of the internet revolution – but through its ambition and focus is catching up fast. Half of the population are under 25, and the same amount are connected to the internet yet only a small proportion have bank accounts, access to public transport and critical infrastructure.

Sales & Marketing Intern – Careem Pay

What You’ll Do

  • Field Sales – identify and pitching to e-commerce businesses. This will be focused on start-up ecosystems, free zones, incubators, accelerators and other organizations supporting SMEs
  • Research – help build a better quality funnel with data and insights. Run LinkedIn ads / B2B marketing initiatives to add merchants to funnel
  • Business types would include large chains (top tier), medium & small businesses (long tail)
  • Pre-Sales Support: help on activities supporting the pre-sales process
  • Post-Sales Support: help on integration activities post sales

What You’ll Need

  • Passion for sales
  • Passion for fintech, payments and e-commerce
  • Proficiency in Google office suite
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • The ideal candidate will have a passionate commitment to improving the lives of people, an insane focus on excellence and customer service, and a strong alignment with our core values
  • Able to work well within a team
  • Working in pressure situations with stretched targets and limited resources, coming up with smart tech based ideas to solve problems
  • Ownership, high energy & self driven
  • Experience in B2B marketing and digital marketing will also help
