Whether you’ve recently finished your college education and trying to find that “perfect fit” or about to complete your university degree and want to get a taste of the real world, AECOM has a wide variety of Internship opportunities available.
Responsibilities & Duties
Winning new work is essential for AECOM’s continued growth and ensuring our multi-discipline teams have the opportunity to work on the most interesting, challenging and excited projects.
The Intern joining the Bids Team will gain exposure to every discipline within AECOM and work with these teams to craft winning technical and commercial proposals.
The role focuses on creative, coordination, commercial and business development skills – you will work closely with technical and support services teams to pull together bid strategies and produce proposal documents that are tailored to client needs and offer winning solutions.
You will learn from other members of the team and gain skills in:
- Developing and managing the bid/PQQ/ITT program and progress
- Execution of bid submission documents
- Facilitating workshops/ strategy and bid planning meetings including working with key proposal contributors to establish a clear win strategy and develop storyboard content
- Managing the compliance and managing reviews of the quality and technical content
- Liaison with commercial bid team to align all submission aspects
- Promoting the effective use of AECOM’s work-winning processes and tools
- Research and use of existing internal & external data sources in bids
- Managing and maintaining all bid documents and sending them to the appropriate functions for response/review/signature in accordance with the bid program
- Answer planning, copy writing and editing
- Writing guidance for technical writers
- Coordination with creative team for graphics
- Presentation preparation and coaching
- Sharing knowledge, insights and learning
- Identifying and sharing lessons learned as inputs to the continuous improvement of the work winning process and tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing or Strategy from an accredited University
- Must have graduated within the last 12 months or graduating no later than June 2023
- Successful applicants must have a minimum 3.4 GPA or 2:1 (or equivalent) and above
- Candidates must be currently based in the UAE
- If you hold a Master’s Degree, you must have started it within 12 months of completing your Bachelor’s Degree in order to have continuous education

The Intern Program will run from 26 June – 29 Sept 2023 and is your opportunity to land a permanent position with AECOM. If your performance has been successful, based on a mid-program review, you will be offered a full-time role as a young professional in your field as part of our highly competitive Graduate Program starting in November 2023.
